Much has been written about God’s “grace” and much misunderstanding exists. The following quotations are taken from the venerable William R. Newell’s commentary ROMANS, Verse by Verse, in hopes that visitors discover the essence of genuine Christianity. Note: the word “man” and masculine pronouns are used below in the universal sense of all mankind.
In these days of burgeoning confusion on the Geo-political front often impacting the theological front in which Christians struggle to make sense of current events, the need was felt to clearly state the meaning of the term “Judge Not” as mentioned in the scriptures, but which has been loosely and callously used by one and all without a clear understanding of what the Scriptures teach and mean by the term. Equally abused terms are “prejudice” and “bigotry”. These have been explained below: (Ian D’Souza)
IS IT THE BIBLICAL BASIS FOR CHRISTIAN MATURITY?
Arthur F. Temmesfeld, Th.M.
Perhaps the area of greatest doctrinal controversy in Christendom today (circa 1970s), apart from the issue of the Verbal Plenary Inspiration of Scripture, is the teaching concerning the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer. This controversy has manifested itself in open conflict and even permanent division in a great number of churches, as charismatic and non-charismatic have come into confrontation over the use of the gifts of the Spirit. The conflict is not likely to decrease in the next few years, particularly if we continue to witness the degree of growth of the charismatic movement that we are now seeing worldwide. An important question that many Christians often ask is ” Are we living in the last days or end times?” When people ask me this question, I usually respond with a clear ” Yes and No!” Such an answer requires an explanation. My explanation is that the Bible uses such terminology in multiple ways, so that some references do refer to our own day, while others do not. Continue reading
Show Me The Cross (performed by the Smiths) with an Easter Video Message Greeting for family & friends – Easter 2015. In these days Paul warned that the love for God in men’s hearts will grow cold. It is only when the Cross of Christ is kept in central focus, that the Christian is able to keep from drifting away from God!
“You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God” (James 4:4).
The Bible says unregenerate people are in rebellion against God. The ultimate rejection of any person would be to deny their existence (hence the idiom “You are dead to me”). Ultimately, some people reject God to the point that they deny His existence. The denial of God is often epitomized by the (in) famous atheist Nietzsche’s statement “God is dead.” Continue reading
This is a Christmas Video Greeting prepared for all my relatives and friends on planet earth. This Christmas, I felt led to share the importance of being alert to what is happening in the world today and how it all points to Christ’s imminent second coming. Feel free to share the message with whomever you feel might benefit.
“…though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross” (Phil 2:6-8).
Christmas is that time of the year when we celebrate the birth of Jesus. All of us have celebrated our birthdays at some time. It is an occasion to remember the day when we entered this world and to thank God for giving us another year to live. At this time, we always think of our birthday and never about our death-day. However, in Jesus’ case, He was born in the shadow of the Cross. He was born to die! Continue reading

Do you remember the revolt of the scientists against the big bang theory for the origin of the universe? In 2004 a group of 33 leading scientists took out a paid advertisement in New Scientist.1 They titled it ‘Open Letter to the Scientific Community’, basically stating that the big bang theory was fundamentally flawed.
The list of names of scientists who agreed with the Statement—that is, disagreed with the theory of a big bang origin of the universe—is available here and many more added their names to that list.
These scientists only agreed on one thing. They were all united in their conviction that the big bang was a bust. Continue reading
